An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager within the Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative (MSECC). The post holder will work alongside MSECC colleagues to support transformation and delivery projects across and with the 3 organisations that form our provider collaboration, maintaining a robust project and risk management framework.

Reporting to the Deputy Transformation Director, the successful candidate will be an experienced project manager or similar and will be experienced in establishing and developing strong and effective working relationships at all levels across the MSECC to successfully support the implementation of key change initiatives.

This is a key role within the Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative (MSE CC), with the primary aim of leading and supporting on key change initiatives.

The Project Manager will work alongside MSE CC colleagues, clinical and operational teams to progress elements of transformation and delivery, maintaining a robust project and risk management framework.

Success in the role will necessitate the establishment and development of strong and effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation, with the ability to challenge and effectively support the delivery of complex, multifaceted programmes, through the application of structured project management processes and interventions.

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) provides services to the residents of Southend, Basildon, and Chelmsford. It was formed in April 2020 by the merger of Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, and Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) provides community health, mental health and learning disability services to support more 3.2 million people living across Bedfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk.

EPUT was formed on 1 April 2017 following the merger of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (NEP) and South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the successful implementation of a wide range of designated projects and programmes relating to improved patient outcomes against agreed project plans to time and within constraints, ensuring a standard project management approach is built into all aspects of these
  • Lead on data driven approaches within these programmes, with a focus on identification, documentation and tracking of benefits
  • Use formal project management methods for the management and delivery of projects, through the full project cycle from case for change to delivery and benefits realisation
  • Ensure risks and issues are identified and countermeasures are in place. Where necessary ensure the appropriate escalation and corrective action to ensure these are resolved
  • Undertake regular measurements of project progress across the collaborative and achieve key deliverables and outcomes. In conjunction with the wider core team and stakeholders, facilitating achievement of the quality and efficiency outcomes for the programme, using data to identify any areas of underperformance and develop recommendations for proposed remedial action
