Overview

This apprenticeship is suitable for individuals who are interested in motor vehicle service and maintenance. It involves servicing and repairing light vehicles such as cars and vans and may be undertaken in dealerships focusing on a particular manufacturer or in independent garages that handle multiple makes.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair light vehicles and diagnose common faults.
• Work in dealerships or independent garages and liaise with workshop teams. In larger businesses you may report to the Workshop Controller and Aftersales Manager; in smaller garages you may report directly to the owner or Garage Manager.
