Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment agency in Newcastle seeks an experienced MOT Tester to ensure a knowledgeable approach to vehicle testing. This role requires a valid MOT licence and level 3 certification in Light Vehicle Maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will include testing various vehicle components and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The position offers a salary of up to £35,000, including bonuses, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Licence Class 4 is required.
• MUST hold level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence subject to driver's check.

Responsibilities

• Testing tyres, wheel alignment, exhausts, batteries.
• Ensuring compliance with legal standards in testing.
• Carrying out routine service work as needed.

Skills

Knowledge of tyres and wheel alignment

Basic and advanced knowledge of suspension and brakes

MOT TESTER

Salary Up to £35,000 Including Bonus

Working Hours - 8:30-5pm Monday to Friday, 1 in 4 Saturdays

Location - Newcastle

Dealership looking for competent and friendly MOT Tester. As MOT Tester you must have both a thorough and knowledgeable approach to your work.

Responsibilities of an MOT Tester

• Testing tyres, wheel alignment, exhausts, batteries, welding, cutting
• Basic and advanced knowledge of suspension and brakes
• Ensure that all deadlines are met making sure all vehicles are tested in accordance with legal standards.
• Carry out routine service work within the needs of the business

Skills and Qualifications of an MOT Tester

• Valid MOT Licence Class 4
• MUST Hold a level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• MUST HOLD a Full UK Manual Driving Licence - Subject to drivers check
• A genuine commitment to delivering first-class customer service
