Overview

Location: In terms of location, we have offices in Bath, Bristol, London and Portsmouth, we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required, and our customers are primarily based in Bristol. This role is a fundamental part of BMT's Systems Engineering Capability, it will report directly into the Head of Capability and lead by example through delivery. A successful individual will be developing the vision for a future state of architectural practice and modelling with the Head of Capability. This will include:

Responsibilities
  • Leading and encouraging thought leadership and innovation as it relates to architectures, modelling and simulation.
  • Skill development ensuring that all resources have the skills needed to deliver to the expected quality and where necessary identify training.
  • Tooling, ensuring that the right tools are available when required.
  • Team engagement to ensure any vision is shared by the team, championing a positive culture and working environment.
  • The role of professional development, mentoring and training in realising the vision.
  • Experienced MBSE practitioner able to develop approaches throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with concept phase projects.
  • Experience with technology development.
  • Experience of leading the development of architectures.
  • Experience with simulation and synthetic environments.
  • Professionally recognised with an appropriate institution e.g. CEng, A/C/ESEP.
  • Confident in a customer facing/consultation role.
  • Systematic and logical in your approach to problem solving.
Qualifications

  • Full UK security clearance will be required and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
