Overview

About the Company: We are working with a leading Tier 1 MEP contractor renowned for delivering high-quality engineering services across the commercial, retail, and leisure sectors. Due to ongoing project wins and long-term maintenance contracts, they are looking to expand their mobile engineering team with a skilled and motivated Mobile Electrical Engineer.

Role Overview

As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and small works installation of electrical systems across a portfolio of commercial buildings including offices, retail units, and cinemas. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs to electrical systems, including lighting, power, emergency lighting, and distribution boards.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients and site contacts in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Complete job reports and update the CAFM system.
  • Carry out minor installation works as required.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing & Inspection (desirable).
  • Proven experience in a mobile or multi-site role, ideally within commercial environments.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
Package
  • £40,000 - £42,000 per annum (DOE) + £10,000 extra for Travel Time.
