Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Stornoway, Outer Hebrides


About the Role


  • The successful candidate will work alongside a team of 5 vets (4 full-time, 1 part-time) and 3 nurses (2 RVNs and 1 SVN).

  • The role involves providing high-quality care to a variety of animals, including small animals, equine, farm animals, alpacas, and local wildlife.

  • Unique cases involving birds of prey, otters, and seals are not uncommon, offering a diverse and rewarding caseload.

  • They are offering a competitive salary reflective of skills and experience


Hours


  • Out-of-hours duties are shared equally among the team, with a current ratio of 1:5.

  • A day off in lieu is provided for weekends worked, and every second week features a 4-day working week.

  • The practice encourages and funds CPD, providing central accommodation and a vehicle for the successful candidate.


About the Candidate

They are looking for an experienced vet and a recent graduate vet (two years+ experience is preferable). They would consider sponsorship and accommodation if required.
