About Clarendon Academy

Driver – Part‑time Minibus

Clarendon Academy is looking for a confident and reliable Driver to cover morning minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part‑time opportunity to join our dedicated team and help get pupils safely to school.

Contract – Fixed term (until 17th July 2026). Working hours – Part‑time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term‑time only, 38 weeks per year). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Drive a minibus safely and reliably, ensuring all pupils arrive at school on time.
• Liaise effectively with school staff and pupils, maintaining strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prioritise and schedule transport efficiently, using organisational skills and a can‑do attitude.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record.
• Support the team, working as a strong team player and using initiative.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence, prepared to drive a minibus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise effectively with staff and pupils.
• Excellent practical and organisational skills, self‑motivated, dedicated and consistent.
• Strong team player, able to use initiative and prioritise tasks.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Previous experience in a similar driving role (desirable).
