Qualifications

• Proven ability to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Ability to operate welding and fabrication machinery safely.
• High level of accuracy when working to specifications and deadlines.
• Experience working with heavy steels up to 40mm is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MIG, TIG and arc welding to join metal components.
• Interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Fabricating, assembling and repairing metal components and structures.
• Inspecting completed welds to ensure structural integrity and quality standards.
• Using hand tools and grinding equipment to prepare materials for welding.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and checks on welding equipment.
