Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Care Assistant to work within a mental health hospital in Carlisle, Cumbria. The hospital provides a range of clinical services which include, adult long stay rehabilitation, psychiatric intensive care, dementia, mental health crisis services and community mental health services for people with a learning disability or autism.

This role is fully flexible allowing you to work around any commitments, promoting a healthy work life balance.

  • START DATE: Immediate/ASAP
  • PAY RATES: £16.13p/h ltd. - £22.00p/h ltd (£13.69p/h - 19.78p/h PAYE Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
  • DURATION: Ongoing, AdHoc Basis
  • SHIFT PATTERNS: Earlies, Lates, Long Days, Nights
Responsibilities
  • Providing one-on-one support to individuals with a range of mental health conditions, including Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, and other Severe Mental Illnesses
  • Assisting individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence
  • Making patients feel comfortable and calm
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 12 months minimum UK experience working as a Mental Healthcare Assistant in a residential or inpatient setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Control and Restraint or PMVA training is beneficial but not essential
  • International applicants are unfortunately unable to be considered
