Job description
Role Overview

The Mental Health Treatment Requirement service (MHTR) have an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified Psychological Practitioner to join the team. The post holder will work within the MHTR across Lancashire and Cumbria.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments, develop formulations and deliver therapeutic interventions to offenders with unmet psychological needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and the overall work.
  • Provide low‑level psychological interventions for depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders and learning difficulties.
  • Work in a range of settings, including Local Magistrates Courts and various Health, Social Care and Probation premises; travel to these sites is an integral part of the role.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to facilitate therapeutic sessions in diverse environments.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Appropriately qualified Psychological Practitioner with detailed knowledge and practical skills for assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to evaluate your work and provide reflective practice.
  • Flexibility to undertake sessions across multiple settings.
