Sandford Ward is a 14 bedded Male Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient ward. We specialise in the care and treatment of Male older adults experiencing mental ill health.
The Older Adult Mental Health wards provide acute psychiatric Inpatient assessment and treatment of Older people within Oxfordshire with either a functional and/or organic illness for both male and female older adults within the Fulbrook Centre. Our ward team consists of Nurses, Registered Nurse Associates, Consultant Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapist, Physio Therapists, Psychology and an Activity Coordinator.
Successful applicants should have strong skills regarding physical co-morbidities and the management of our patients physical health co-morbidities or the passion and drive to learn about how to support our patients to manage them.
As a Mental Health Nurse, you\'ll be responsible for:
You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well in a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations.
You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment dealing with unpredictable situations whilst remaining focused on providing a person-centred and recovery approach to care and treatment.
