Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Warren Hill, a male prison located in Woodbridge.

Hours

Shifts across Monday to Sunday including bank holidays. Monday to Friday: 07:30-18:00. Employees are expected to work 1 in 3 weekends, with hours routinely spread over 4 days.

Salary

Annual salary up to £38,115 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments within a multi‑disciplinary team, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
  • Undertake medication rounds and assess & treat patients who may have experienced trauma and may be distressed.
  • Assess patients’ health needs using evidence‑based frameworks, risk assess using sound clinical knowledge, and participate in reviews of individuals under the Prison Suicide and Self‑Harm risk management system (ACCT).
