A prominent health authority in Wales is seeking a committed Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to manage patient medications and ensure safety in dispensing practices. Required qualifications include a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences, along with an Accredited Checking Technician certification. The ideal candidate will also have hospital pharmacy experience and leadership skills. This position offers excellent in-house training and professional development opportunities.

The Medicines Management Directorate has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team based at Prince Charles Hospital.
Our Band 5 Technicians are valued members of the multidisciplinary team at ward level and work as ACTs in the automated, Technician led dispensary. You will gain experience across a variety of clinical specialities, working closely with pharmacists and other health care professionals to deliver a high quality, patient focussed medicines management service.
We Are Committed to The Development of The Technician Role and Can Offer Excellent In House Training, where you will be supported and encouraged to further develop yourself.
Applicants must have a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Equivalent Qualifications to enable them to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council. The successful candidate must also hold an Accredited Checking Technician qualification and be in a position to work towards the Accredited Medicines Management qualification.
We will consider applications from students due to qualify in February 2026.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The main duties will depend on previous experience but will encompass: Working as an Accredited Checking Technician undertaking the final check and release of prescriptions
