A local medical practice based in Tees Valley is seeking a receptionist/administrator to join their friendly team. Responsibilities include providing high quality reception and administrative services to ensure efficient patient care. The ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths, experience in primary care, and knowledge of System 1 and NHS e-referrals. This is a permanent position with opportunities for professional development.
We are looking for an receptionist/administrator to join our friendly practice on a permanent basis. You will work as part of the Kings Medical team- made up of two GP partners, aPractice Nurse, two Health Care Assistants and Administerial Staff. We are amedical training practice and you will also work alongside Registrars and FY2Doctors.
Toprovide high quality reception and administrative services for the GP's toensure efficiency in patient care
Dealwith telephone and face to face enquires from staff members, patients, carersand other services providing information, directing and prioritising queries asappropriate
Producingreports for solicitors/insurance companies/other outside agencies
Scanningand coding of letters
Referralsusing NHS e-referrals and email
Registrationof new patients
Callingfor patients for review who have a chronic disease
Take responsibility for own development, learning and performance
Kings MedicalPractice is a small, friendly practice with a list size of approx. 6.700patients, based in North Ormesby in Middlesbrough

To provide high quality reception and administrative services for the GP's to ensure efficiency in patient care
Deal with telephone and face to face enquires from staff members, patients, carers and other services providing information, directing and prioritising queries as appropriate
Producing reports for solicitors/insurance companies/other outside agencies
Scanning and coding of letters
Referrals using NHS e-referrals and email
Registration of new patients
Producing reports for patinets who require chronic disease monitoring and calling them in for review
Any other duties that within capabilities as delegated by practice manager or GP
