A local medical practice based in Tees Valley is seeking a receptionist/administrator to join their friendly team. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality reception and administrative services for the GP's.
  • Handle telephone and face-to-face inquiries efficiently.
  • Produce reports for solicitors and outside agencies.
  • Scan and code letters appropriately.
  • Manage patient referrals using NHS e-referrals.
  • Register new patients and monitor chronic disease reviews.

Job description

We are looking for an receptionist/administrator to join our friendly practice on a permanent basis. You will work as part of the Kings Medical team- made up of two GP partners, aPractice Nurse, two Health Care Assistants and Administerial Staff. We are amedical training practice and you will also work alongside Registrars and FY2Doctors.

Main duties of the job

Toprovide high quality reception and administrative services for the GP's toensure efficiency in patient care

Dealwith telephone and face to face enquires from staff members, patients, carersand other services providing information, directing and prioritising queries asappropriate

Producingreports for solicitors/insurance companies/other outside agencies

Scanningand coding of letters

Referralsusing NHS e-referrals and email

Registrationof new patients

Callingfor patients for review who have a chronic disease

Take responsibility for own development, learning and performance
