A UK charity focused on poverty alleviation is seeking a Media Manager to craft strategies that influence public opinion and elevate its mission. This role involves identifying news stories, shaping media strategies, and building relationships with journalists. The ideal candidate will have multimedia experience in press offices or newsrooms and possess excellent communication skills. Join our small, dedicated media team at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and help create a world free from poverty.
As a Media Manager, you’ll craft and execute media strategies that influence public and political opinion, foster relationships with key journalists, and elevate JRF’s mission. Your work will directly impact the national conversation on poverty, driving change and social justice.
We need someone with media experience, whether from a newsroom or a press office, and the flexibility to quickly adapt to various topics. Specialism is a plus, but versatility is key.
We support flexible working arrangements. We also offer part‑time options and are open to appointing two part‑time staff to fill the full‑time role.
