Overview

Mechanical Test Technician. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Test Technician to join a leading Engineering company based in Portsmouth.

Responsibilities

To perform short and long-term mechanical testing operations on composite, polymeric and metallic specimens, and assemblies, working to project plans and timescales.

Ideal Experience

• The Mechanical Test Technician role would suit someone with a Mechanical background in either Assembly, Fitting or Maintenance looking to advance their skills.
• Someone that has good problem solving skills, attention to detail, works well in a team with strong time management and communication skills.
• IT literacy will also be required due to the documentation of the tests, so ideally needing Word and Excel skills.

Desirable

• Any experience of working with instrumentation, installation of sensors, fitting gauges onto components, fault finding, testing, calibration and maintaining test equipment would be an advantage.

Salary £27K - £35K

Hours Days - Monday to Friday
