Job summary

A leading project delivery firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation packages across multiple sites. The ideal candidate has proven experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting, strong knowledge of CDM regulations, and relevant mechanical qualifications. This contract role offers a competitive rate of £450 per day, with a pipeline of work expected to extend beyond the initial duration of 3-6 months.

Mechanical Supervisor - Outside IR35

Rate: £450 per day

Duration: 3-6 months (extension likely)

The Opportunity

A leading Tier 1 delivery team on a major water framework is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to manage mechanical installation packages across multiple sites. This is a hands‑on supervisory role focused on package oversight, making it ideal for someone confident in managing installation quality, safety compliance, and interface with MEICA delivery teams.

With one site just entering installation and two more about to start, this is a strong pipeline with very realistic potential to extend well beyond the initial 3-6 months.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervising mechanical installation works across multiple locations.
• Carrying out ITP checks and ensuring installations meet spec and quality requirements.
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are always in place.
• Coordinating with installation teams and maintaining discipline-level progress.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and project safety standards.
• Reporting to project leads and raising any issues early.

What You'll Need

• Strong experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting.
• Excellent understanding of CDM and mechanical installation processes.
• Mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND).
• CSCS card.
• SSSTS certification.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience overseeing mechanical packages across multiple sites.

Desirable

• Mechanical AP (Authorised Person).
• First Aid.
