The Client and Project Info :

My client is a leading M&E Contractor who is currently recruiting a Mechanical Manager to oversee a large commercial scheme based in Derby. This is a major project offering a long‑term opportunity with a well‑established contractor.

Mechanical Manager Responsibilities :
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Managing all mechanical packages across the commercial development.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme and specification.
  • Working collaboratively with design teams, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Overseeing quality control, ensuring all mechanical works meet compliance and industry standards.
  • Leading progress meetings and producing regular project updates.
  • Ensuring a strong focus on health & safety across all phases of the mechanical installation.
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
Mechanical Manager Requirements :
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial or M&E projects.
  • Strong mechanical building services background.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, programmes, and technical delivery.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
