Overview

Escape Recruitment are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the continuous operation and improvement of my clients facilities and production assets. The role covers both planned and reactive maintenance, with additional involvement in project work. A mechanical bias is preferred, but versatility across multiple disciplines is essential.

Shift Pattern
  • Monday to Thursday

  • 4 x 12-hour shifts (rotating days/nights)

  • No weekends

Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, and maintain manual and CNC machinery (diagnostics and corrective action).

  • Maintain site infrastructure, plant, and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures.

  • Interpret technical drawings and manuals; help identify and source components.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Support and train peers/apprentices when required.

  • Take ownership of work quality, paperwork, and checklists.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and site projects.

Skills and Experience
  • Maintenance experience in manufacturing environments.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Recognised Apprenticeship completed.

  • Experience with CNC controls (Siemens and Mazak desirable).

  • Team player with strong communication skills.

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
