Overview

Are you an experienced Mechanical Inspector with a background in precision engineering? Do you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure components meet exacting quality standards? If so, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to join a highly regarded manufacturing business, inspecting high-precision machined components to meet customer requirements and industry quality standards.

As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and approval of production parts, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect precision machined components using a range of measuring equipment.
  • Approve "First Off" components for each batch of production.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to maintain quality throughout production.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers on quality-related issues.
  • Follow company quality procedures in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Complete quality documentation, including PPAP, ISIR, and FAIR reports where required.
Current experience
  • Proven experience in mechanical inspection within a precision engineering environment.
  • Skilled in using standard measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is advantageous.
  • Experience with PPAP processes and related quality reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
What you can expect
