Mechanical Engineer

London & M25

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is passionate about delivering high‑quality service.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing hydraulic, pumping, and pipework systems across a variety of commercial and residential sites.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and HIU systems. This will involve working across energy centres, large plant rooms, and building distribution systems.

Key tasks include fault finding, commissioning, balancing, and flow control. You will also be expected to manage system drain downs and perform pump and valve replacements, along with plate heat exchanger servicing.

Key Duties
  • Service and maintain hydraulic, pumping, and pipework systems
  • Balance, commission, and control flow within systems
  • Maintain pressure vessels, pressurisation units, and HIUs
  • Fault finding, accurate reporting, and providing recommendations
  • Manage system drain downs and refills, pump and valve replacements
  • Service and maintain plate heat exchangers
  • Work in energy centres, large plant rooms, and building distribution systems
  • Ensure safe working practices, including awareness of gas boilers, electrical systems, and plant controls
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HIU systems (planned maintenance and breakdowns)
  • Full UK driving licence and clear DBS
  • Based within a commutable distance of Central London
