Job description

As a Field-based M&E Technician, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Your work will help maintain critical infrastructure that keeps water treatment processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment sites & associated systems carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on M&E assets
  • Respond to breakdowns and conduct fault-finding, diagnosis, and repairs
  • Support instrumentation calibration and adjustments where required
  • Ensure compliance with site health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Work independently across multiple sites, managing your own workload and travel
About You

You’ll bring a strong technical background, a commitment to safety, and the confidence to work autonomously in a field-based environment.

Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • Industrial maintenance experience
  • M&E background (water sector experience welcomed but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
