About the Role

We are recruiting for a skilled and customer-focused Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our client's site in Bedford. The role will involve general vehicle servicing and routine maintenance, with no heavy mechanical work required.

As this is a customer-facing position, you will be expected to communicate effectively with customers, provide honest advice, and upsell additional services or repairs where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing and light repairs
• Diagnose and resolve minor faults efficiently
• Provide clear explanations of vehicle issues to customers
• Upsell services and repairs in a professional and customer-focused way
• Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence in upselling and building customer trust
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
