The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Maths Tutor (Cover) to provide 1:1 support to young people across the Sefton area.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, it would beneficial if applicants have a background and strong understanding of SEN.

Position Details:

  • Location: Various locations across
  • Position: Maths
  • Type of work: Supply
  • Hours: Flexible working hours available
  • Start date: September 2025
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Hourly rate: Minimum rate of 25.00p/h

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • SEN experience

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
