Job description

Job Title: Master Data Supervisor

Location: Glascoed

Salary: £40,000-41,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

• Accurate and timely entry, review and distribution of master data, ensuring effective execution of data quality.
• Interact with Business Partners on a day‑to‑day basis, delivering a high‑quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the master data team, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and updates.
• Implement and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Review and approve master data change requests for compliance with company standards.
• Monitor data quality, identify issues, and lead root cause analysis and resolution.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and other business units to support data‑related projects and initiatives.
• Mentor team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Generate reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs related to master data performance and integrity.
• Support audits and compliance reviews related to master data processes.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance data lifecycle management.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Previous team management experience.
• Experience in a master data management role.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.

Desirable:

• Data certifications (e.g. DAMA).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics; familiarity with Master Data Management tools.
• Understanding of Chart of Accounts.

The Finance Master Data Team

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Master Data Supervisor with a passion for data integrity and operational excellence. You will have knowledge of master data management and thrive in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and compliance are critical. The Master Data Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data across key business domains, including customer, vendor, employee and materials data and finance master data (chart of accounts, cost centres and profit centres).
