Cloud Imperium is looking for a marketing video editor to join our Marketing Team. You’ll create promotional content for social media platforms, including trailers, gameplay highlights, and community‑focused videos. The role requires speed, creativity, and a strong sense of what resonates with online audiences.

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting‑edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record‑breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single‑player adventure set in the same universe. What does a marketing video editor at CIG do?

• Collaborate with brand teams and creative leads to produce content tailored for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X.
• Work closely with creative director, writers, gameplay capture artists and producers, providing professional expertise to ensure cohesive storytelling to elevate the overall production value.
• Break down and implement creative notes from stakeholder teams.
• Develop and maintain effective strategies to support creative needs from cross‑functional teams.

What do we expect from our video editors?

• A good amount of industry experience as a video editor for Advertising, Entertainment or Gaming industries with a portfolio of work that showcases excellence in dynamic, creative storytelling.
• Exceptional proficiency with Adobe Premiere editing software. Experience with After Effects and motion graphics.
• Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and technological advancements in video editing, contributing to the implementation of best practices for quality standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
