Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dedicated team at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, a venue with a proud motorsport heritage and an exciting future ahead.

The circuit is currently in a period of significant growth, following the 2019 planning approval for a new multipurpose building and additional event days. As well as continuing to build on our calendar of motorsport events, we are working on adding new non-motorsport events to our calendar.

As part of our small, friendly, and professional team, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact, play an active role in our continued success, and be part of an exciting new chapter in Lydden Hill’s story.

The Lydden Hill Marketing Manager’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

Marketing & Campaigns
  • Plan and run marketing campaigns that boost ticket sales and raise awareness of the circuit and our events.
  • Look after the marketing budget, spending wisely and making sure every pound delivers impact.
  • Keep our branding consistent and on point across all channels.
  • Working with freelance designers to produce engaging graphics and event artwork
Social Media & Content
  • Run our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) posting regularly and keeping fans in the loop.
  • Building relationships with youtubers and influencers
  • Create awesome visuals and videos (working with our freelancers) to show off what makes our events special.
  • Manage our photographers, designers, and videographers during major events.
Website & Digital
  • Keep our website fresh and up to date, with SEO-friendly content and up-to-date event info.
  • Write engaging copy for our site, ticketing pages, and newsletters.
Advertising & Promotions
  • Book and manage paid marketing campaigns, from digital ads to print materials and make sure artwork deadlines are met.
  • Create branded presentations and event materials when needed.
  • Organise promotional stands at key events for both Lydden Hill and 5 Nations British Rallycross.
Events
  • Be part of the action on event days, creating and posting live content while capturing the energy of the crowd.
  • Work with the 5 Nations British Rallycross team to design and deliver printed event programmes.
  • Manage our customer database and send regular updates via Mailchimp and our ticketing system.
  • Share content with partners and sponsors to help them shout about our events too.
  • Attend occasional event committee meetings (for events such as Lord of Lydden and Lydden Legends) to share marketing updates and keep up to date with content.
5 Nations BRX
  • Support the 5 Nations British Rallycross team when needed, including website updates and joint campaigns.
What We’re Looking For in Our Next Marketing Manager
  • A creative thinker who’s excited to test fresh ideas and reach new audiences
  • A solid understanding of social media, YouTube, and modern marketing trends
  • Ambition to build a long-term career in a business you truly care about
  • A friendly, enthusiastic team player who wants to make a real difference within a small, but growing, flexible team
  • Excitement to get involved and work our events to share content across channels (likely to be approx. 2 Saturdays a month during the season – either taken as overtime or time off during the week)
  • Event marketing experience across both digital and traditional channels
  • An interest in motorsport is ideal, but not essential

This is a full-time role, but we’re flexible - the most important thing is finding the right person for the role. Pay will be based on experience, and overtime is available. Please give us a call if you have any questions!
