Job description
The role

Join Our Team

We are a market-leading nature tech company on a mission to make nature measurable and actionable at scale. Our platform delivers vital insights on species, habitats, and nature-related risks, helping businesses across sectors—from mining and renewable to consumer goods and financial services—to make smarter, more sustainable decisions.

As global leaders in biodiversity monitoring and eDNA analysis, we are transforming how nature is measured. Our technology makes biodiversity insights accessible, actionable, and scalable, powering change from conservation to industry. Recognised as Earthshot Prize Finalists 2024, BloombergNEF Pioneers 2024, World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers 2024, and part of the TechNation Future Fifty 2025, we are shaping the future of how organisations understand and protect nature.

As we enter a new phase of rapid global growth, we are seeking a Marketing Executive who understands this role is about storytelling that changes minds, education that builds markets, and creativity that makes the impossible feel tangible.

While we offer flexible working, this role requires candidates to be based within proximity that allows for regular, planned travel to the London office. For optimal team collaboration, applicants must be able to consistently work core hours aligning with 10:00 - 16:00 GMT.

What You’ll Actually Do

This role is never dull. You might plan a royal visit one day, interview a coastal community about their Marine Protected Area the next, then develop a mining best practice guide to convince a CEO to commit millions to biodiversity.

You’ll never be short of stories. Every client has an inspiring conservation tale. Every product release is revolutionary. Every team member is a thought leader. Your job? Identify the golden stories, weave them together, and deliver campaigns that educate, inspire, and convert.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Drive lead generation across mining, conservation, consultancies, energy, infrastructure, transport, consumer goods, and agriculture sectors, each with unique education levels and pain points
  • Track, analyse, and report on performance – use Google Analytics and HubSpot to monitor campaign effectiveness, identify what’s working (and what’s not), and present regular metrics and insights to the exec team and wider business to inform decision‑making
  • Own operational marketing, manage campaigns, support sales with collateral, coordinate timelines, and keep everything on track when priorities shift
  • Help manage our Webflow website, keep content fresh, optimise for conversion, and ensure our digital presence reflects our mission
  • Orchestrate agencies and freelancers, coordinate designers, videographers, and content creators to amplify our small but mighty team
  • Champion AI and automation, experiment with emerging tools to eliminate manual work and accelerate delivery
  • Tell stories that convert, translate biodiversity science into narratives that resonate with everyone from coastal fishermen to Fortune 500 CFOs across blogs, case studies, videos, guides, and infographics

What Success Looks Like

  • Lead Generation – Campaigns consistently fill the pipeline with qualified leads supporting growth targets
  • Educational Impact – Content that visibly shifts how audiences understand nature intelligence
  • Data‑Driven Excellence – Regular tracking of performance metrics, spotting trends, and using insights to optimise campaigns. The exec team and sales team rely on your reporting to understand what’s working and make informed decisions
  • Operational Excellence – Smooth operations, efficient triage, on‑time agency delivery, sales team supported, regular metric and KPI reporting
  • Storytelling Resonance – Prospects tell us they “get it”; engagement metrics prove it
  • Personal Growth – You've found areas you love and started owning them as part of our evolving strategy
Why us?

At NatureMetrics, diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA. Together, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees. It fuels our innovation and connects us to the communities we work with.

About you

Core Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally in a high‑growth or B2B tech environment
  • Digital marketing fundamentals: SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, content marketing
  • Webflow and HubSpot proficiency
  • Strong analytical mindset – Experience using Google Analytics and HubSpot analytics to track campaign performance, identify trends, and turn data into actionable insights. Comfortable presenting metrics and recommendations to leadership and using data to inform strategy
  • Excellent organisational skills – Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience in sustainability, conservation, or environmental sectors is a big plus (but not required if you’re genuinely passionate and quick to learn)
The Mindset That Makes You Succeed Here

We’re not looking for someone who’s already an expert in nature intelligence marketing. That person doesn’t exist yet, we’re inventing this category.

What we are looking for is someone with passion for the ultimate end goal (saving biodiversity), a positive outlook on life (this job has high highs and the occasional chaotic pivot), and the ability to connect dots yourself. You see what needs doing, ask clarifying questions when needed, and run with it.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Love Learning and Adapting Quickly
  • This role comes with huge opportunity to grow. If you want a role where you can explore, experiment, and grow into new areas of marketing, this is it.
  • You're energised by change, not rattled by it. Priorities shift. Opportunities emerge. You adapt.
Mission‑Driven and People‑Focused
  • The biodiversity crisis genuinely matters to you, you want your work to be part of the solution
  • You're comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, from journalists to scientists, community leaders to C‑suite executives
  • You thrive in collaborative, close‑knit teams where everyone pulls together for a shared purpose
Technically Comfortable and Efficiency‑Obsessed
  • Genuine excitement about AI tools and how they can transform marketing productivity
  • You love finding ways to do more with less, automation, templates, smarter workflows
  • You can translate data insights into reports for investors and actionable recommendations for the marketing team
Creative Storyteller
  • You can make eDNA analysis sound as exciting as it actually is
  • Bonus: video editing and content creation skills that let you bring our fieldwork to life
  • You understand that great marketing is education disguised as inspiration
What's in it for you

Meaningful Impact – Your work directly supports biodiversity conservation at a global scale. The campaigns you build, the stories you tell, and the leads you generate contribute to protecting ecosystems and species around the world.

Unmatched Variety – You'll never be bored. Royal visits. Coastal communities. Mining CEOs. Satellite imagery. AI models. Regulatory frameworks. Every week brings something new.

Growth Trajectory – This isn't a box‑ticking role. You'll have the opportunity to learn deeply about every marketing channel, find what you love, and own it. We're a small team scaling fast, your career can accelerate with us.

Direct Exposure to Leadership – You'll work closely with our executive team, giving you insight into company strategy and decision‑making you wouldn't get in a larger organisation.

Incredible People – The team at NatureMetrics is what makes the job amazing. Everyone is genuinely passionate about what we're working toward. We have quarterly company‑wide get‑togethers and two offices (Guildford and London) where collaboration thrives. This role is primarily London‑based with flexibility for hybrid working.

Competitive Benefits – Salary aligned with experience and market, salary sacrifice pension (sustainability‑focused), life assurance, 25 days annual leave, Cycle to Work scheme, enhanced family‑friendly policy, and £250 L&D budget via Learnerbly.
