Job description
  • Position: Marketing Director
  • Salary: £80,000 per year plus very good company benefits. Employee ownership profit share is also offered along with free electric car charging, 25 days holiday (plus all UK bank holiday), private healthcare scheme (including dental), volunteering days in the local community and ongoing product and vocational training tailored to the individual's requirement
  • Location: Uckfield, East Sussex
  • Hours: Office based for the first couple of months and then moving to a hybrid model of 3 days office and 2 days per week working from home
  • Role based in Uckfield. There is plenty of free parking on site available for all staff.

My client is well placed with the home interiors space and is highly thought of within their sector. This role reports straight into the MD.

The role – Marketing Director

This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking and wants to shape the voice of a growing, employee‑owned company.

You’ll be responsible for three brands, each with a unique offering. From advertorials to printed materials, social content to paid campaigns, you’ll know when and how to use each brand voice appropriately. You will have experience of clearly differentiating brand voice based on market position, along with an excellent knowledge of social media advertising.

Duties will include:
  • Brand Communications: Oversee and product the voice of three different interior brands.
  • Copywriting: Create engaging copy for the website, advertorials, campaigns, and social posts.
  • Design Oversight: Brief visual assets (for web, print, and advertorials).
  • Campaign Management: Ensure advertorials reach the right audience with maximum impact.
  • Social Media: Drive organic engagement with content aligned company profiles
  • Collaboration: Work closely with managers on PPC, analytics, and testing.
  • Innovation: Keep pace with digital trends and the use of AI tools in ad platforms.
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:
  • A strong communicator with a flair for words and visuals.
  • Experienced in digital marketing and brand management.
  • Comfortable balancing creative work with commercial impact.
  • Skilled in working across multiple channels (web, print, social, PPC).
  • Collaborative, detail‑driven, and passionate about consistent branding.
  • Familiar with using analytics and insights to improve performance.
