Job summary

A UK-based engineering firm is seeking a Software Test Engineer to build and test software used across its products. This role requires a solid technical background and involves working closely with development teams. You will be responsible for producing test documentation and supporting integration activities. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of practical experience in software testing and an engineering degree. The position occasionally requires travel within the UK and abroad.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year practical experience testing software on Windows-based PCs.
• Experience writing test plans, test specifications and test reports.
• Experience building software and software installers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Building and testing software to support products and services as a Software Test Engineer.
• Producing and maintaining software build and testing specifications.
• Acting as a technical point of contact on software-related matters.
