A government agency in Falmouth is seeking a dedicated individual to operate in a Rescue Coordination Centre. You will be the first point of contact for people in distress, coordinating responses and working alongside Emergency Services to provide assistance. Strong attention to detail is essential as you will maintain accurate incident logs and records. This is a critical role that requires the ability to handle urgent situations effectively, ensuring public safety at all times.
You will be operating through the phones, radios and various other systems in one of our Rescue Coordination Centres, so whilst you won’t be out at sea, that doesn’t make what you’re dealing with any less real.
You will be the first point of contact for people who need our help. This could range from a call that someone appears in distress in the waters and needs help, through to a ship that requires assistance, sometimes with life‑changing consequences to everything in between.
For further information on the role, please read the role profile. Please note that the role profile is for information purposes only – whilst all elements are relevant to the role, they may not all be assessed during the recruitment process. This job advert will detail exactly what will be assessed during the recruitment process.
