Manufacturing Manager (Nights)
Nottinghamshire
Food Manufacturing
£60,000-£65,000
You know those night‑shift roles everyone claims are “rare opportunities”? This one actually is. Because there aren't many night operations in UK food manufacturing that run at this scale, and even fewer looking for someone who can do more than just stop the place catching fire. You’ll be running a 500‑strong operation. And yes, that's exactly as big, messy and politically interesting as it sounds. If you're the kind of manager who hides in an office, this isn't for you. If you're the kind who can shift a culture, reset behaviours and get a team pulling in the same direction, even at 3 a.m., then you'll fit in fine. It suits two types of people:
You’ll have Ops, plus dotted‑line responsibility for Quality and Engineering. Translation: you’ll need to know what “good” looks like in a high‑care environment and be credible enough that people listen when you say it.
Night‑shift experience helps. High‑care food experience is essential. Being able to land on your feet and start making an impact quickly… even more so.
They’re a group known for developing their best people. Which is great, assuming you plan to be one of them.
