Job summary

A leading construction equipment manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer at their Springvale Facility in Belfast. This role involves owning key performance indicators related to Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost, while managing safety and quality improvements on production lines. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering, along with experience in lean manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools.
  • Ability to evaluate the impact of emerging business situations.
  • Ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, update, and store manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods.
  • Ability to identify work-related hazards and meet safety regulations.
  • Ability to monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
  • Ability to resolve manufacturing problems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Own key KPIs including Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost.
  • Lead introduction of new products and processes (NPI).
  • Conduct problem-solving and hold investigations.
  • Manage safety and quality improvements on assembly line.
  • Implement process quality steps in line with APQP requirements.
  • Purchase and coordinate installation of equipment projects.
  • Ensure principles are applied through the product development process.
  • Ensure accurate costing through Bill of Materials.
  • Coordinate and implement complex engineering changes.
