Job description

Databricks is growing at an incredible pace, and our London hub is at the heart of our international expansion. We are looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to take functional ownership of our international entities. Reporting to the Director of International Accounting, this is a high-impact individual contributor role designed for a technical expert who can influence global teams and drive our statutory roadmap.

The impact you will have
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly goal-setting for the international statutory landscape, translating high-level corporate objectives into a prioritised roadmap for our finance teams.
  • Drive the US GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliation process. You will own the end-to-end statutory audit cycle for your portfolio, managing relationships with external auditors and ensuring the integrity of all disclosures.
  • Review and approve financial statements for our international subsidiaries, ensuring the integrity of all disclosures and technical accuracy.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and M&A to advise on the accounting implications of new market entries or complex international deals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for our teams in other countries, helping them prioritise strategic work and de‑prioritise non‑essential tasks through data‑driven insights.
  • Identify Record‑to‑Report bottlenecks and lead the charge on automation.
You will recommend and implement optimisations within our core tech stack (NetSuite, FloQast, and Zip) to ensure our international operations can scale.
  • Monitor existing and new accounting and regulatory policies to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Create clear reporting and dashboards to track the progress of international filings, escalating risks or blockers to leadership when appropriate.
What we look for
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years post‑qualification experience.
  • Experience in the preparation, review, or audit of financial statements under US GAAP, FRS 102, and/or IFRS.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to manage the calendar of statutory filings and provide daily status updates.
  • In‑depth understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven experience working across a global organisation, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams in different time zones and cultures.
  • Experience and success in a hyper‑growth environment, where flexibility and keenness for optimisation are key.
  • A desire for accuracy and analytics with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify risks, and drive solutions independently.
  • Advanced GSuite and Excel skills (maintaining complex spreadsheets and employing complex formulas) alongside a strong working knowledge of modern accounting systems.
