Job description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager Commercial Operations / Deal Desk in the United Kingdom.

This role is a strategic opportunity to shape and streamline commercial operations for enterprise deals in a high-growth, AI-driven environment. You will serve as the bridge between Sales, Legal, Finance, and Technology, ensuring deals are closed efficiently, accurately, and at scale. The position involves making independent decisions on commercial, legal, and data protection matters while leveraging AI tools to automate recurring tasks. You will also be responsible for operationalizing pricing strategies, structuring deals, and acting as a gatekeeper for multidisciplinary inquiries. This role requires a mix of business acumen, legal knowledge, and technical fluency, offering a chance to make a measurable impact on deal velocity and revenue growth. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that values initiative, structured thinking, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Accountabilities:
  • Structure, review, and approve order forms, NDAs, and data protection agreements, balancing commercial and legal considerations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for commercial, legal, data privacy (GDPR), and information security queries.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline recurring deal desk processes, including contract and security questionnaires.
  • Operationalize pricing strategies and ensure commercial guardrails are maintained without slowing sales cycles.
  • Resolve standard and recurring issues independently and upscale complex matters to internal or external experts as needed.
  • Maintain clarity and consistency across deal operations to reduce load on leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth deal execution and post‑signing processes.
Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in B2B SaaS, Deal Desk, Commercial Legal, Sales Operations, or Commercial Finance.
  • Proven experience working with enterprise customers, managing complex deals, and navigating escalations under time pressure.
  • Academic background as a business lawyer (LL.B./LL.M.), or degree in Business Administration with strong legal focus, or comparable qualification.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to distinguish between “legally correct” and “commercially sensible” solutions.
  • Executive decision‑making skills, with ownership of outcomes and accountability for results.
  • Calm, structured, and focused under pressure, particularly during escalations and quarter‑end periods.
  • AI‑native mindset: experience using LLMs, automation, or smart workflows to scale operational processes.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and German, written and spoken.
Benefits:
  • Remote‑first working environment with flexibility to work from home or join occasional team events in offices.
  • Support for work‑life balance, including E‑Gym‑Wellpass membership and job bike leasing.
  • Collaborative and motivated team culture with regular team events and culture days.
  • Opportunity to shape commercial operations and drive impact within a fast‑growing tech company.
  • Potential to work abroad within the European Union under flexible remote arrangements.
