Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, inclusive of monthly P&L’s and Balance Sheet.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group timetables, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts, providing insightful variance analysis.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed asset register as well as the associated controls.
  • Completion of accurate bank recs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensuring accounting policies and procedures align with group standards.
  • Provide financial advice and insights to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Key skills & experience
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • Qualified/Part Qualified (Final Stages) CIMA/ACCA
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills is essential.
  • Previous experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous.
  • The ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively is critical.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a desire to contribute to continuous improvement.
