Job description

Sharp Consultancy are proudly working with a leading business in Rotherham, in their search for a Qualified Management Accountant to lead the current Finance team and report directly into the Finance Director.

This role will allow for wider business exposure alongside full ownership in the production of the monthly management accounts and generous amounts of commercial exposure.

This position will continue to evolve as time goes on, ultimately providing significant growth into a senior role within the business whereby influencing and providing insights to support decision making at both strategic and operational level.

The Management Accountant will also operate as a Business Partner, integrating the wider business and providing real value through the provision of quality, timely and accurate information, highlighting issues and trends.

Duties and responsibilities to include:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of monthly P&L
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Commercial / market trend analysis to assist business projections and operational plans
  • Assist with preparing financial forecasts
  • Assist with developing budgets and tracking variances to ensure budgetary control
  • Team development
  • VAT returns
  • Fixed Asset management
Person specification:
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Demonstrate being a team player working alongside other functions
  • Excellent use of communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good system skills – specifically Excel

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
