A truly exceptional, career defining opportunity for an AAT Qualified or CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA Part Qualified Professional to join a highly regarded and award-winning business based in Preston. Joining a friendly and collaborative Finance Business Partner and Management Accounting team - and reporting to a very impressive Commercial Financial Controller - your remit will include:

  • Working in a hands-on Management Accountant role, leading a small Management Accounts Team of 2 (PQ and AAT level).
  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Variance Analysis and narrative.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Supporting the Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budgeting process.
  • Working in tandem with the Finance Business Partners to supply a standardised financial reporting and analysis suite.
  • Providing financial support to Budget holders and management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • Strategic planning.
  • Supporting the development of best practice controls and processes.

To meet our clients' criteria, you will be fully Qualified AAT or a Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA and will ideally hold an accounting & finance (or related degree) - although this is not essential. You will be an active studier with clear commitment and evidence of working towards achieving full qualification. You will also have the gravitas, personality and communication skills required to forge strong business relationships internally and with colleagues at all levels and an ethos of working to achieving the highest possible standards. Salary £43-49k depending on experience, 10% pension, 30 days annual leave + an additional 4 days for Christmas + 8 Bank Holidays, Study Support, 36.25 hours per week, Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week in the office), Flexible working, Training and development program and various company perks and discounts. Applicants must have full and indefinite eligibility to work in the UK (through being a UK citizen or having gained ILR) and should live within a sensible commute of Preston.
