Responsibilities

• Assist in producing accounts with analysis against various scenarios, including P&L, B / S, cashflow and working capital
• Produce and post journals including accruals and prepayments
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and posting of corrections where necessary
• Liaise with budget owners to understand and challenge variances to plan accordingly
• Responsible for statutory returns, including VAT and ONS submissions
• Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts, audit deliverables and disclosure notes for the annual audit
• Ad-hoc duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Formal accountancy qualification : ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Experience in a previous management accountant role
• Take ownership of the role - rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in
• Experience and full understanding of prepayments
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly proficient with Excel
• Sage Line 50 experience is desirable
