Job description

Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working in partnership with a scaling business to source a recently qualified Management Accountant. This is an ideal role for a recently qualified accountant looking for their first role in Industry. The successful candidate will take full ownership of month-end and quarter-end reporting processes, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and statutory submissions. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

The Role
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards, principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage tax filings and statutory submissions within required deadlines
  • Support the completion of audits and statutory accounts in line with agreed timelines
  • Produce financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Calculate and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Take ownership of month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
The Candidate
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis
  • Background in a shared services or multinational environment preferred
  • Strong track record of delivering monthly management accounts and group reporting to tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of core accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
