Maintenance Team Leader - Weekend Shift

Location: Redditch

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (including weekend shift allowance)

Shift Pattern: Saturday to Monday, 6am - 6pm

A leading tier-one automotive manufacturer is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Team Leader to support its growing maintenance function. This is a key role as the business continues to invest in new machinery and scale up its engineering team to meet rising production demands.

Role Overview

As the Maintenance Team Leader, you'll lead a dedicated team of multi-skilled engineers during the weekend shift, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Manage and deliver planned maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
  • Provide expert fault-finding and technical support.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Uphold health and safety standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical maintenance leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLC systems (Siemens experience is a plus).
  • Confident in leading and motivating teams on a weekend shift.
