A leading maintenance firm in Reading is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor to lead the engineering team at a critical facility. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance of MEP systems, enforce compliance with safety regulations, and ensure exceptional customer service. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience and relevant engineering qualifications are required for this position, which offers a salary of £50,000.

We're hiring a proven Building Maintenance Supervisor to lead the on-site engineering team at a critical facility.
You will be the key technical leader, responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. Your mission is to drive maximum system availability, uphold a Safety-First culture, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and coordinate the team and specialist vendors.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce statutory regulations, SFG20/OEM standards, and Change Management protocols.
Maintenance Control: Oversee all Planned (PPM) and rapidly manage all Reactive/Corrective Maintenance.
System Management: Key operator for the CMMS system, ensuring SLA adherence and accurate reporting.
Technical Ownership: Ensure all plant rooms are maintained to the highest standards.
Experience: Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in commercial/critical maintenance.
Qualification: HNC, HND, or successful apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Certifications: C&G Pts. 1 & 2 (or equivalent) & 17th/18th Edition IEE.
Safety: Relevant H&S certification (IOSH or NEBOSH) and IPAF.
Soft Skills: Proven team leadership, proactive attitude, and excellent communication.
