Job summary

A respected recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Operative in Newport for a permanent role. Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Location: Newport

Salary: 35k-45k annual base

RGSetsquare recruitment is working with FM Companies who are responsible for managing a mixture of reactive and planned maintenance contracts across UK.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building maintenance, including repairs to electrical, plumbing and cladding as needed
• Be able to operate suitable plant (e.g., cherry picker and/or scissor lift) safely (IPAF licence mandatory)
• Dealing with external contractors where necessary
• Following safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records

Qualifications / Requirements

• IPAF licence is mandatory to operate elevated access equipment
• Experience in general building maintenance across multiple locations
• Ability to work in a reactive and planned maintenance environment
• Ability to coordinate with external contractors and adhere to CDM Regulations
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
