Job Role:Multi Skilled Engineer
Location:Kettering, Northamptonshire (accepting applications from surrounding counties)
Salary: £50,000-£52,000 (OTE £55,000+)
Hours:4 on 4 off days only pattern, 06:00 – 18:00
Job Type:Full time, Permanent

  • The Duties:

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and condition monitoring for key equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to maximize equipment availability.
  • Handle facility tasks like doors, drains, and fire alarm testing.
  • Report misuse of equipment to management.
  • Ensure tools and equipment comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Support maintenance tasks across UK sites as needed.
  • Address accidents and incidents per company standards.
  • Train Machine Operators for continuous improvement.
  • Update daily activity reports.
  • Analyse system, lines, and product performance.
  • The Requirements:

  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the fresh produce or beverage sector.
  • Formal Electrical or Mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ level / 3 City and Guilds or relevant Apprenticeship).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Independent work capability.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel).
  • Proven continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Flexible approach to work.
