Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Toolsetter to join a manufacturer of construction components in Dudley. This role demands a minimum of 5 years of tool setting experience, ideally with progression machines. Responsibilities include setting tooling inline with production and assisting supervisors. A competitive hourly rate of £17.12 is offered, along with the expectation of ROSPA training and relevant FLT licences. The position requires working hours between 07:00am and 19:00pm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of previous tool setting experience ideally on progression machines.
  • Must be ROSPA trained and hold current Counterbalance FLT licence.
  • Reach FLT and Crane licence are advantageous.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of construction components and fittings within the UK. Due to continual growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Toolsetter to work between its facilities in the Dudley & Worcester areas.

Responsibilities
  • Setting and changing progression tooling inline with production requirements.
  • Assist supervisor in shift organisation and take the lead when required.
  • Ensure proper shift handover to other setter and relay any quality issues.
  • Help supervision by making tool and coil changes.
  • Perform inspection and test duties.
  • Ensure tool-room is informed of any tooling defects via handover.
  • Ensure any defective product and associated wide coil are segregated and kept away from free issue stock.
  • To proactively coil feed, make product size and tool changes inline with production requirements.
Qualifications

Applicants must have minimum 5 years previous tool setting experience ideally on progression machines, be ROSPA trained and hold current Counterbalance FLT licence. A Reach FLT and Crane licence would be a big advantage.

Working Hours

Hours of work will be days between 07:00am and 19:00pm

Salary

Starting hourly rate will be £17.12 per hour
