Job summary

A leading poultry producer in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a full-time Machine Technician to join their production team. The role includes ensuring product specifications are met, machine setup, and conducting inspections. Ideal candidates will possess Level 2 Food Safety certification and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The salary is £14.89 per hour, with additional benefits including pension contributions and wellbeing support.

Job requirements of Machine Technician
  • To ensure that all packing and products being used are correct to the required specification.
  • To start, set up run and fault find on the required machine.
  • Conduct label checks at the required timings (start, 30 minutes, end)
  • Complete Scale check weights (WPL and OCM) at a minimum frequency of 4 times per day
Shift pattern

These roles will work Monday-Friday from 17.10- 1:40

What you will need
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Understanding of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
  • Basic level of literacy and numeracy skills, being able to understand verbal requests and documentation
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
Pay and benefits
  • Salary: £14.89 per hour (including attendance bonus)
  • Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions with the option to opt into an enhanced pension contribution scheme.
