Overview

Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They are looking for a Machine Operator to join their existing team on a temporary ongoing basis.

Location and Terms

• Location: Leamington Spa
• Contract: Temporary ongoing assignment
• Shifts: Days; Early and Late shifts (rotating fortnightly)
• Pay: Days - £14.43 per hour; Early/Late shifts - £15.89 per hour
• Hours: 39 hrs per week + possible overtime

Shifts

• Days - #removed# Mon-Thurs and #removed# on Friday (30-minute break)
• Shifts - #removed# Monday to Thursday and #removed# on Friday and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Thursday and #removed# on Friday (20 minutes break) Rotating fortnightly

Responsibilities

• As a Machine Operator, you will be operating and running Laser machines
• Manufacturing components to a high standard
• Ability to interpret and work to engineering drawings
• Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier calipers, micrometers
• Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and ensuring it is in working order; checking and ordering materials needed
• Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
• Removing and cleaning finished parts ready for production
• Completing your own quality control checks
• Completion of documentation
• Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

Qualifications

• Laser machine 5 Axis operating experience
• Previous experience of operating laser cutting machines; setting would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to plan and work from own initiative with minimum supervision
• Attention to detail and reliability
• Self-motivated
