Job Description:

We are supporting a global advisory firm in the confidential search for a Director to join its Value Creation team, with a dedicated focus on the Media sector.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team at a pivotal time of growth. The successful individual will play a leading role in delivering end-to-end strategic and transaction-related advisory work to major corporates, private equity clients, and high-growth businesses. The team works on a wide range of engagements, including Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, Value Creation, Growth Strategy, and Enterprise-wide Transformation.

The firm has a strong reputation for combining rigorous analysis with practical commercial insight and is consistently trusted by clients to deliver high-impact, board-level strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a leadership role in delivering complex strategy projects across the Media sector, particularly in the context of transactions and value creation.
  • Lead on business development efforts by originating new client opportunities and maintaining senior relationships across corporates and private equity.
  • Guide teams in delivering structured and insightful analysis, ensuring client-ready outputs of the highest standard.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping recommendations that drive tangible business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of market propositions, thought leadership and the broader go-to-market strategy for the Media and TMT sectors.
  • Develop, coach, and inspire high-performing teams, supporting both project delivery and internal capability building.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in strategy consulting or corporate development, ideally within a Big 4, global strategy consultancy, or leading boutique advisory.
  • A track record of delivering deal-related strategy work such as Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, or Value Creation—with a clear focus on the Media industry.
  • A deep understanding of the Media sector's key value drivers, business models, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead structured, data-driven analysis.
  • A proven ability to originate and convert new business, leveraging a relevant client network.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of building trust and credibility with both internal teams and external clients.
  • An outstanding academic background and relevant professional qualifications (e.g. MBA, ACA, CFA).
