Role Overview

As a Lunchtime Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising children during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety, well‑being, and enjoyment during playtime. You will manage behaviour, assist with lunchtime arrangements, and create a positive, safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during lunch breaks, ensuring a safe and well‑managed environment.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement among students.
  • Monitor playtime activities, ensuring children follow rules and guidelines.
  • Assist with lunchtime routines, including helping younger children with eating or special requirements.
  • Promote safety by keeping watch over playground activities and guiding children to ensure their well‑being.
  • Support children with any personal or social needs that may arise during the break.
  • Work with school staff to create a happy and productive lunchtime environment.
  • Assist with clean‑up and preparation for the end of lunch.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with children, either in an educational or childcare setting (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills with children and staff.
  • Ability to manage student behaviour effectively.
  • Friendly, patient, and approachable attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
  • DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required. If you don't have one, we will assist in processing a new one at a cost of £56.20.
  • Right to work documentation will be required upon registration.
