Overview

Job Title: Lunchbreak Supervisor
Location: Downend, South Gloucestershire (Stanbridge Primary School, BS16)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 7 hours, 5 minutes per week (11.50 am – 1.15 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only – 38 weeks)
Salary: Grade 13, £24,796 (Actual Salary £3,976.48 per week)
Start Date: 19th January 2026
Closing Date: 16th January 2026

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period.
  • Maintain a calm, warm and committed approach to interactions with children.
  • Act as a vital link between children, lunchbreak staff and other school staff.
  • Support the school's approach to outdoor play, embracing a ‘whatever the weather’ ethos.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and use initiative.
  • Be enthusiastic, self‑motivated and possess a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
  • Show excellent communication skills.
  • Adhere strictly to standards of confidentiality.
  • Fully participate in training and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in spoken English essential (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).
  • Experience working with pupils, parents and other users is desirable.
